Following Chadwick’s death, Shuri (Letitia Wright) is rumored to put on the Black Panther suit, in the highly anticipated sequel.

According to the latest trailer from Marvel for the sequel, Letitia Wright will don the superhero shoes, even though they are yet to introduce the new Black Panther.

However, the sequel’s filming, which required more than a year of production, encountered many difficulties. From minor set injuries and health issues with Covid-19, the crew had a rough time working on the project. Following months of rumors about who would take over Chadwick’s role as King T’Challa, production finally began in August 2020.

In fact, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, performed a cover of Bob Marley’s No, Woman, No Cry with a sample from Kendrick Lamar’s Alright for the soundtrack of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
