Nigeria will host the world premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the newest film from Marvel Studios. According to the movie distribution company FilmOne Entertainment, the premiere will take place in Lagos. This is before the movie’s eagerly awaited global theatrical release on November 11, 2022.
The Walt Disney Company today formally announced that Nigeria would host the official African premiere of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in collaboration with the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and FilmOne Entertainment.

The Company Africa’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, Christine Service, expressed her excitement about bringing Black Panther to Lagos: “With the help of our dependable distribution partners FilmOne and this partnership with AFRIFF, we are looking forward to a wonderful celebration with Nigerian moviegoers and Black Panther fans,” says the statement.
Chioma Ude, the founder of AFRIFF, stated the importance of the premiere to the African continent. She believes it is time to close the gaps in the global film industry.

Following Chadwick’s death, Shuri (Letitia Wright) is rumored to put on the Black Panther suit, in the highly anticipated sequel.
According to the latest trailer from Marvel for the sequel, Letitia Wright will don the superhero shoes, even though they are yet to introduce the new Black Panther.

However, the sequel’s filming, which required more than a year of production, encountered many difficulties. From minor set injuries and health issues with Covid-19, the crew had a rough time working on the project. Following months of rumors about who would take over Chadwick’s role as King T’Challa, production finally began in August 2020.
In fact, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, performed a cover of Bob Marley’s No, Woman, No Cry with a sample from Kendrick Lamar’s Alright for the soundtrack of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
